Le Drake Noir

Ribe 003

At the threshold of the good old days in the danish city of Ribe
many buildings in the cityscape were built as similar farms were in the countryside
with a gate as a threshold into a closed area
these ports were that time business card or brand image to the outside world.

The southernmost part of the danish West Jutland
and the northernmost part of the german Schleswig
the danish-german Wadden Sea has a number of small water canals and small rivers.
This allows flat-bottomed small boats can sail into a number of cities from the sea.

Also in the city of Ribe, it allows stepping over the threshold by the back door.
